Report: "Quale" released by Arjen Schat

Arjen Schat recently released a new album titled "Quale" on his own Bandcamp page. Lately, we've mostly been seeing activity under his Ohrwehrt alias, so it was great to get a new deep ambient piece to dive into, and not without with a little bit of extra anticipation I might say. Quale consists of a near hour long track which is also available in an alternate version.

I can't help but feel that the new remix EP from Canadian Stasis Recordings has a little something for everyone, several competent remixers turn the title track into very different expressions. And of course people who follow Urenga's and Arjen's work will be very satisfied with this nifty little EP. You will find it available on bandcamp here.

Prolific electronic artist Arjen Schat is back with another deep ambient/drone album called "Silent Ritual", released as digital only via bandcamp. Two half hour long tracks make up a mesmerizing and spiralling drift into the beyond. Strongly recommended!

Arjen Schat, better known as Ohrwert in dub techno circles, also works in other genres such as EM and ambient. The recently released album "Tanmatra" is a crisp ambient dream with mystic flavour and brilliant drones and percussive elements.The five tracks on the album are each named after the five subtle elements through which we perceive the physical world around us.
